PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION (GOALS): |

To teach the skills needed to resolve conflict through effective
communication skills including negotiation and mediation. |

COURSE CONTENT AND DESCRIPTION: |
|
Discusses and defines images of conflict, personal styles in
dealing with conflict, and specific conflict styles. Participants
learn to utilize communication skills, effective listening,
paraphrasing, rapport building, negotiation, and mediation to resolve conflict. |

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS (VIDEO USE, ETC.): |

Didactic presentation and group / experiential discussion and role
play exercises. |

1) Gain insight into personal communication & conflict
